Addressing a rally in Jammu Azad was all praises for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a rally in Jammu. Praising Modi for being true to his roots, he said it was something which he really liked despite being rivals on political grounds. Weeks ago, the Prime Minister had also broken the barrier of political rivalry as he bid an emotional farewell to former J&K CM Ghulam Nabi Azad just before his term as a Rajya Sabha MP expired. Some of the ’23 dissenters’ led by Ghulam Nabi Azad along with Manish Tewari, Anand Sharma, Vivek Tankha, Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Raj Babbar, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kapil Sibal held a ‘Shanti Sammelan’ in Jammu, as part of a 3-day visit in Jammu to chalk out the future course of action and hold several public meetings.
We’re Political rivals but I appreciate that he doesn’t hide his true self – Ghulam Nabi Azad praises PM Modi
Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi heaped effusive praise on Ghulam Nabi Azad, the senior Congress leader returned the favour on Sunday. “I like lot of things about many leaders. I’m from a village and feel proud of it … even our PM hails from village and used to sell tea. We’re political rivals but I appreciate that he doesn’t hide his true self. Those who do, are living in bubble,” Azad said.
Are Bengal Poll Dates Suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi & Amit Shah – West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Questioned
From BJP party sources, I have seen the list of poll dates they wanted. And now I have seen the list out in the public. They are the same. I am sorry. I am shocked. Are Bengal poll dates suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah? I am the only one woman chief minister in the country… I will win… and then Modi and Shah, you watch the battle in the 2024 general elections. We will fight it and how.

Your former CM was an expert in lifting the slippers of his top party leaders – PM Modi’s Jibe on V Narayanasamy & Rahul Gandhi in Puducherry
These development works cover roads, healthcare, education, culture, sport and marine economy. What I am seeing here today — the energy and enthusiasm — is wonderful. It shows how the direction of the wind is changing in Puducherry. In 2016, Puducherry didn’t get a people’s govt. They got a govt that was busy serving the Congress high command in Delhi, their priorities were different. Your former CM was an expert in lifting the slippers of his top party leaders. The high command Congress government in Puducherry made it a point to damage every sector of governance. Traditional mills closed. Local industry was troubled. Congress doesn’t believe in working for the people.

PM Modi is on a visit to Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development initiatives.
Ex-IAS officer Shah Faesal slammed the hue and cry over naming the Motera stadium as Narendra Modi Stadium and noted that credit must be given where it is due
Ex-IAS officer Shah Faesal slammed the hue and cry over naming Ahmedabad’s Motera stadium as Narendra Modi Stadium and noted that credit must be given where it is due. The massive 132,000-seater that has been built at the spot where the erstwhile Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium used to stand at Motera was christened after PM Modi and is now the world’s largest cricket arena as part of a larger Sardar Patel Sports Enclave which Amit Shah claims is capable of hosting the Olympics with just 6 months notice. The stadium was inaugurated by President Kovind and the Home Minister on Wednesday ahead of India’s pink-ball Test against England.
The outcry was understandable if this was the first time when a stadium was being named on someone. Hasn’t the Left always celebrated naming, in as far as it’s to memoralize extraordinary human action? I believe that credit must be given where the credit is due!

All the health workers, police workers, municipal workers, revenue workers and other frontline workers are being covered by COVID vaccination at a rapid pace. In fact, West Bengal being an election-going State, we are required to reach out practically to every government and para-statal employee on an urgent basis to make the election safe.”

Many public sector enterprises are loss-making & several of them need the support of public money. It burdens the economy, he further added.

As CM, he (Modi) used to say Gujaratis must also Progress in 2 fields – Sports & Armed Forces – Amit Shah
As CM, he used to say Gujaratis must also progress in 2 fields – sports and armed forces. He took charge of GCA on my request and promoted sports here. His vision was that world’s largest cricket stadium be built here. This 1,32,000-seater stadium will be known as Narendra Modi Stadium. Coupled with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave & Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, a sports complex will also be built in Naranpura. These 3 will be equipped to host any international sports event. Ahmedabad to be known as the ‘sports city’ of India
TMC leader Derek O’Brien accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making a false claim while inaugurating new rail routes in West Bengal
TMC leader Derek O’Brien accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making a false claim while inaugurating new rail routes in West Bengal. The PM inaugurated the extension of the Kolkata Metro from Noapara to Dakshineswar, the third line between Kalaikunda and Jhargram, the doubling of Azimganj to Khargraghat section, the third line between Rasulpur and Magra and the fourth line between Dankuni and Baruipara. Maintaining that the Centre had not started these rail routes, O’Brien pointed out that TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee had allocated the budget for the same in 2011. He was referring to the announcements in the Railway Budget 2011-12 made by Banerjee who was then serving as the Railways Minister in the Manmohan Singh-led government.
Centre transfers money directly into bank accounts of farmers & poor. But monetary benefits of schemes of Bengal Govt does not reach the poor without the consent of all the ‘tolabaaz’ of TMC. This is why TMC leaders are becoming richer & normal families are becoming poorer. Development in Bengal not possible as long as cut money culture, syndicate rule and “tolabaji” (extortion) persists.
I am told that Vande Mataram Bhawan, where Bankim Chandra Ji lived for 5 years, is in very bad condition – PM Modi
I am told that Vande Mataram Bhawan, where Bankim Chandra Ji lived for 5 years, is in very bad condition. This is the same Bhawan where he brainstormed to write Vande Mataram, the poem which gave a new lease of life to the freedom struggle. Failure to keep the place of the creator of such ‘amar gaan’ in a good state is an injustice to West Bengal’s pride & there is huge politics involved in this — the politics which focuses on vote bank, not patriotism; appeasement, not Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas.

I am thankful to the PM, President and colleagues of the various parties who showered their praise on me – Ghulam Nabi Azad
We understand some people superficially while others in-depth. Those who understood me in-depth and saw my work over the years became emotional. I am thankful to the PM, President and colleagues of the various parties who showered their praise on me and with whom I got the opportunity to work. I am thankful to all for their wishes. You will see me at many places. I am free now. I have no wish to be MP, Minister or hold any position in the party. I have done enough work. I am okay with whatever party decides. My fight is for how the party will be strengthened, my fight is not against any individual or against anyone.

I have known Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad for years. We were Chief Ministers together. We had interacted even before I became Chief Minister, when Azad Sahab was very much in active politics. He has a passion not many know about – gardening. I will never forget Ghulam Nabi Azad’s efforts and Shri Pranab Mukherjee’s efforts when people from Gujarat were stuck in Kashmir due to a terror attack. Ghulam Nabi Ji was constantly following up, he sounded as concerned as if those stuck were his own family members. My doors are always open for you. I will not let you retire.

It seems a few days ago when we were giving each other auspicious wishes, then we celebrated Lohri, celebrated Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Bihu. Festivals were celebrated in different parts of the country in this month. Today is the last day of January 2021. Are you too thinking, the way I am that 2021 had commenced just a few days ago? It just doesn’t feel that the entire month of January has passed by! This is what is termed as the speed of time. This month, we got good news from the cricket pitch. After initial hiccups, the Indian team bounced back gloriously and won the series in Australia. Our team’s hard work and teamwork was inspiring. In the midst of all this, the nation was shocked to witness the insult of the Tricolour on January 26. We have to fill the coming days with hope and novelty.
Modi ji and Yogi ji and all others must listen carefully – Yogendra Yadav, leader of the Swaraj Party
Modi ji and Yogi ji and all others must listen carefully, farmers will not go back from this movement, humiliated and defamed, said Yogendra Yadav, leader of the Swaraj Party, at a farmers’ rally at Delhi-UP border. Due to Covid times, we are meeting virtually. I pay homage to Bapu. All issues put forth are important and need to be debated at length. Parties with fewer members should get ample time to put forth the issues of their states. But when the house is disrupted, most of the harm is done to small political parties as their time gets deducted. So everyone should appeal that the house should continue to function. Prominent parties can give their bytes.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) does not support “Jai Shri Ram” slogans at an event in Kolkata to mark the 124th birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose, according to an RSS functionary. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Mamata Banerjee attended that programme, which ran into a controversy, on January 23. Jishnu Basu, general secretary of the RSS Bengal unit, said on Tuesday. “The Sangh is unhappy with what happened. Those who raised the slogan neither showed respect to Netaji nor showed respect to Ram. The event was held to pay homage to Netaji. Those who shouted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ must be identified…the party (Bharatiya Janata Party) must find out who were involved and whether this was an act of sabotage of some sort”.
We have promised ourselves that: We will not just meet our Paris Agreement targets, but exceed them; We will not just arrest environmental degradation but reverse it; and, We will not just create new capacities but make them an agent for global good. We are targeting 450 gigawatt of renewable energy capacity by 2030. We are providing clean cooking fuel to 80 million rural households. We are connecting 64 million households to piped water supply. Our ancient scripture Yajurveda teaches us that our relationship with planet earth is that of a mother and her child. If we take care of mother earth, she will continue to nurture us.

India is awaiting regulatory approval from Afghanistan to send its vaccine.

A US court has dismissed a $100-million lawsuit filed against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah after the litigants – a separatist Kashmir Khalistan outfit and two associates – failed to appear before it at two scheduled hearings. The case was terminated by Judge Andrew S Hanen of the US District Court in Texas on October 22.

Today when the nation has taken a historical step then these people are misleading farmers – PM Modi
Prime Minister said that Kutch has become one of the fastest developing areas and that the people of Kutch have turned disappointment into hope. “Everyone stood-up again after the quake and now look where have they taken Kutch,” he said. Talking about the agricultural reforms, PM Modi said, “People who are sitting in the Opposition & misleading farmers today were in the favour of these farm reforms during their govt. They could not make a decision during their govt. Today when the nation has taken a historical step then these people are misleading farmers.”
India will never forget the cowardly attack on its Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday as he paid tributes to security personnel who laid down their lives in the terror attack on this day in 2001. “We will never forget the cowardly attack on our Parliament on this day in 2001. We recall the valour and sacrifice of those who lost their lives protecting our Parliament. India will always be thankful to them,” he tweeted.
To strengthen the agriculture sector, work has done in the past few years. Today, the agriculture sector is more vibrant than before. Today, farmers have the option of selling their foodgrains in the mandis and outside it too. While mandis are being progressed, farmers have been given a digital platform to sell their goods too. When the country’s farmer is prosperous, then the country will be prosperous.
The amount of private sector’s involvement in agriculture which should have been, was prevented previously. Agriculture has not been explored by the private sector. We have had cold storage issue, which is impossible to expand without private sector. To flourish agriculture, private investment is needed. A lot of companies are doing good jobs, but that is not enough. Farmers who grow foodgrains and vegetables should be supported with modern technology to minimise their losses. Govt is committed for the welfare of farmers through intention and laws.
I appeal to protesting farmers in Delhi to not come under the trap of communists. Maoists have already entered among you & they will try to convert farmers into party cadres like they tried to do in my state. In 2018 PM Narendra Modi freed the farmers of Tripura. Today farmers here are moving towards doubling income & becoming self-dependent. I appeal protestors in Delhi to visit Tripura and speak to our farmers to know the real face of communists.
Emphasis is being laid to re-energise technology-based industries in sectors in which India has long term competitive advantage. With new agricultural reforms, farmers will get new markets, new options, technology will be benefited, the country’s cold storage infrastructure will be modern. The new agri reforms will bring in more investment in the sector and farmers will benefit the most from it. They have options to sell their crops in mandis as well as to outside parties.

Late former president Pranab Mukherjee’s memoirs, whose final volume is to be published next month, has made sensational claims about the second stint of Manmohan Singh and first stint of Narendra Modi as prime ministers. “While Dr Singh was preoccupied with saving the coalition, which took a toll on governance, Modi seemed to have employed a rather autocratic style of governance during his first term, as seen by the bitter relationship among the government, the legislature and the judiciary,” Mukherjee wrote in the book.
Something like this happened in Punjab in the 1980’s. Farmers had come out in protest against traders who were buying their produce below the MSP. Sharad Joshi (he was an economist, an MP and a respected farm leader) had warned that if that agitation were to continue, anti-national forces would exploit the situation and use farmers’ children as fodder. That is exactly what happened because Indira Gandhi at that time shut herself from all meaningful dialogue and logic. The country had to pay a heavy price in the next ten years. The situation is playing out again, and now PM Narendra Modi is making the same mistake.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday urged private sector to up their investments game in agriculture, noting that they have not invested enough and as much as they should have given its potential. In the match of 20-20, we saw a lot of things changing rapidly. But the year 2020 baffled everyone. The nation and entire world saw a lot of ups and downs. When, we will think of Corona period a few years later, perhaps we won’t be able to believe it. It’s good that things are improving swiftly.
“We’d seen walls between the agriculture sector and other areas associated with it — be it agriculture infrastructure, food processing, storage, or cold chain. All walls and obstacles are being removed now. After reforms, farmers will get new markets, options, and more benefits of technology,” said PM Modi. Further addressing the cause, PM Modi said that with all this, more investment will come in the agriculture sector and maximum benefit will come to India’s farmers.

It is a matter of great happiness that the idol of Mata Annapoorna, which was stolen from Kashi a century ago, is coming home. It could have happened much earlier had those in power in the previous governments made sincere efforts. For us, heritage means country’s heritage, and for some people it is just their own family and family’s name. Our intention is to protect and conserve the heritage of the country.

He realised the Ram Mandir dream.”
When development works started for Kashi, the protesters protested only for protest. When Kashi had decided that Vishwanath Corridor would be built till Baba’s court, the protesters had said a lot about it too. But today the glory of Kashi is being revived by the grace of Baba. Centuries ago, the direct connection of Baba’s court to Mother Ganga is being re-established
I know that decades of falsehood do put apprehensions in the minds of farmers. I want to say this from the bank of Mother Ganga – we are not working with the intention of deceiving. Our intentions are as holy as the water of river Ganga. If someone thinks that the earlier system is better, how is this law stopping anyone, bhai?
There is a new trend now, earlier decisions of government were opposed, now rumours have become basis for opposition. Propaganda is spread that although decision is right, it can lead to other consequences, about things that haven’t happened or will never happen. Same is with farm laws.
Farmers are being empowered by giving them options for a bigger market. Reforms are being done in the interest of farmers, which will give them more options. Shouldn’t a farmer get freedom to sell his produce directly to those who give them better prices and facilities. The promise of giving 1.5 times more MSP to farmers as per Swaminathan Commission was fulfilled. This promise was not only fulfilled on paper, but has reached the bank account of the farmers.

Modi landed at Hakimpet Air Force station at around 1 pm, as part of his three-city tour to take the stock of COVID-19 vaccine development. He was received by Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Director General of Police Mahendar Reddy and other officials.
PM Modi began his three-city visit on Saturday to review coronavirus vaccine development work by going to pharma major Zydus Cadila’s manufacturing facility near Ahmedabad in the morning. After Ahmedabad, the PM is scheduled to visit vaccine maker Bharat Biotech’s facility in Hyderabad, after which he will proceed to Pune, where he will visit the SII, which has partnered with global pharma giant AstraZeneca and the Oxford University for the vaccine.
The fruit of that idea is Modi. People who want to defeat the BJP should realise that it has taken 100 years for the RSS and the BJP to reach where they are today. It is not just about fighting the next election. The secret sauce of BJP’s success is not the majoritarian ideology but the organisational unity within the party. If you think about it, the BJP is the only party that doesn’t split. And it is not because they like each other or they share the same ideology on issues. It’s like an old couple in the park who are fighting but will not divorce. That is what other parties can learn from the BJP.
Today’s generation focuses more on the current ‘jugalbandi’ of Modi and Amit Shah and our parents’ generation focused on Vajpayee and Advani, their parents’ generation looked at yet another ‘jugalbandi’ of Hindu nationalism, which was Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
Modi and Amit Shah had not done a day’s work in Delhi before Narendra Modi became the prime minister in 2014 – Vinay Sitapati
Advani and Vajpayee in many ways were shaped by the context in which they operated. Vajpayee had spent 50 years in the Parliament and Advani (too) a long time, before they entered government. Whereas, Modi and Amit Shah had not done a day’s work in Delhi before Narendra Modi became the prime minister in 2014. Their vision of India is the Gujarat state legislature, which is the Congress vs BJP. It doesn’t have this multiplicity of parties that you see in Parliament and they feel no need to negotiate it.
The first difference is that Vajpayee-Advani were very different from each other. On many issues that were core to Hindu nationalism – Ayodhya or the 2002 Gujarat riots for example – they had different instincts. They were also different personality-wise. Modi-Shah, I suspect, are very similar to each other. On 90 percent of political issues, they would have the same instinct. The other difference is that Vajpayee-Advani became, ultimately, an equal relationship. On the other hand, when it comes to Modi-Shah, it’s clear who is boss.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that one nation, one election is not a matter of debate only, but this is the need for India. Addressing the All India Presiding Officers during the celebrations of Constitution Day, PM Modi suggested that single voters’ list should brought in place for Lok Sabha, assembly and panchayat polls. “Separate lists are waste of resources,” he said. The Prime Minister also asked the presiding officers at conference to take innovative measures to spread awareness about Constitution.
People from India and many foreign nations were killed. I pay homage to them as well as police and security forces personnel who died while fighting the terrorists. Today’s India can never forget the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, one of the biggest on the Indian soil. Today’s India is fighting terrorism with ‘new niti and new riti’.
