Pained and anguished at violence in Coochbehar leading to loss of lives – Jagdeep Dhankhar

All must unitedly condemn and abjure violence that has no place in democracy. Pained and anguished at violence in Coochbehar leading to loss of lives. People in authority must show statesmanship & ensure respect for constitutional institutions & CAPF engaged in public duty.

If there is a vote (for BJP) then it is in the name of Modi – Prashant Kishor

If there is a vote (for BJP) then it is in the name of Modi, in the name of being Hindu. Polarisation, Modi, SC (Scheduled Castes), Hindi-speaking – these are the factors. So whether a Hindu is going or Prashant Kishor is coming, that has no bearing. Modi is popular here. Hindi-speaking people have more than 1 crore votes. Dalits are 27 per cent and they stand with BJP fully. Plus, there is definitely polarisation.

Mamata will have to quit the CM’s post on May 2 – Amit Shah

Responding to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statement demanding his resignation over the Cooch Behar killings, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said if the people of the state ask him to resign from his post, he is ready to do so. While addressing a rally in Basirhat in North 24 Parganas district, Amit Shah asserted that Trinamool Congress (TMC) will lose the ongoing state assembly polls and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will have to step down on May 2. “Didi has been asking for my resignation. If the people of West Bengal demand that I put down my papers, I am ready to do so with my head bowed. But Mamata will have to quit the CM’s post on May 2,” Amit Shah said.

Prashant Kishor reiterated in his tweet that BJP will not get 100 seats in Bengal – Dola Sen

The BJP friends have been circulating the partial audiotape since Saturday morning. The complete audiotape including all questions and answers should be released not the edited and partial version. He (Prashant Kishor), whose audiotape BJP has been circulating himself answered everything through his tweet. He reiterated in his tweet that BJP will not get 100 seats in Bengal. BJP understood that Mamata Banerjee will be again the chief minister of West Bengal. This is the strategy to play the mind games and create a wave of BJP amid the ongoing polls.

Modi has acquired a cult in the country – Prashant Kishor

10-15-20-25 per cent people see God in him. Whether it is right or wrong, that is a different debate. He has acquired a cult in the country. The Hindi speaking people are the core support base of BJP in Bengal. There is anti-incumbency against the state government, not the Centre. Modi is quite popular here. We are doing surveys. Modi and Mamata are equally popular in Bengal which is a very big thing.

There is anger against Trinamool Congress – Prashant Kishor

People of Bengal have not seen the rule of BJP so far, they have not tasted it and they are wanting to do it. People are coming to rallies, there is popularity of Modi and mobilization. There is anger against Trinamool Congress. That is a factor. Polarisation is a factor. The anti-incumbency against Trinamool that has opened the doors for BJP, their ability to polarize and SC votes.

There is no anti-incumbency against Modi – Prashant Kishor

There is no anti-incumbency against Modi. Modi has become a cult in the country. Modi is popular in Bengal. The Hindi speaking people is the core support base of BJP in Bengal. Modi is very popular here. Modi and Mamata are equally popular in Bengal. When we made a survey and asked people whose government will be formed in Bengal. The outcomes predominantly come in favour of the BJP. The majority says BJP’s government will be formed. There are sufficient workers of BJP on the ground. If we leave one or two districts, everywhere there are strong cadets of BJP.

Suvendu is not a factor – Prashant Kishor

Suvendu is not a factor. Hindus, schedule caste, Dalit and Hindi speaking population are the key factors. Around 50-55 per cent of Hindus are voting for BJP. There are around one crore Hindi speaking population in West Bengal. Matuas will predominantly vote for the BJP. When we made a survey and asked people whose government will be formed in Bengal. The outcomes predominantly come in favour of the BJP. In-ground there are workers of BJP.

For the last 20 years, there has been a blatant effort to appease the minority – Prashant Kishor

For the last 20 years, there has been a blatant effort to appease the minority. The entire political ecosystem in Bengal be it Left, Congress or Didi have been to grab the Muslim votes. There is some element that BJP is exploiting. And that element is coming from the blatant misuse of minority politics.

COVID: Government of India is prioritising the international community over Indian citizens – Raghav Chadha

The Government of India is prioritising the international community over Indian citizens in the matter of providing vaccines. While the Government of India has been indulging in diplomatic adventurism by exporting over 64 million doses to 84 countries, it has completely overlooked and neglected the Fundamental Rights of its citizens to basic health care and protection by vaccination against COVID-19.

Media was not misused, it conspired against me – Arnab Goswami

The night I was arrested and my family was surrounded with loaded AK-47s, a journalist, quote and unquote, I won’t say a journalist, Hafiz Saeed’s favourite in India, allegedly said that she feels like eating ice cream that night to celebrate. They won’t eat ice creams now. They will eat dust now. My targets are many, the media was not misused, it conspired against me. I have much evidence on my hand and I will reveal it in time.

When I was approached by some lawyer saying will you take up Jaishri Patil’s case, I said, of course I will – Harish Salve

When I was approached by some lawyer saying will you take up Jaishri Patil’s case, I said, of course I will, because this is a case which must be investigated thoroughly, one from the dimension of who was it and what was it that led to this kind of a decay that a police officer who was so close to the establishment, he was putting gelatin sticks (explosives) outside Mukesh’s (Ambani) house. This is huge. And we need to have the entire story before the courts, before the justice and before the country. That’s why I took up the case.

My head tells me the hope comes from the heart and perhaps – Harish Salve

We need to find out how deep the rot runs and who are the people responsible. Have we completely lost democracy, have we completely forfeited any sense of constitutional propriety or is it a handful of people who are doing something wrong? There is a little hope in me that it is not that bad, but my head tells me the hope comes from the heart and perhaps it is worse than what we imagined.

As long as he is not behind bars, our agitation will continue – Amanatullah Khan on Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati

We are here with several Imams (Islamic clerics) from various parts of Delhi. We have decided to issue sermons during Jummah (Friday prayers) on April 9. Imams from across Delhi and other parts of India will give directions against the blasphemous comments made by Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati. They will demand his immediate arrest. As long as he is not behind bars, our agitation will continue.

Mamata Banerjee’s election strategist concedes that even in TMC’s internal surveys, BJP is winning – Amit Malviya on Prashant Kishor

That moment when you get on Club House to brief Lutyens journalists, most of who are now jobless and YouTubing or work for discredited rags, and speak too much without realising that the conversation is not private and is being recorded… Someone just delivered a blow to Pishi! In a public chat on Club House, Mamata Banerjee’s election strategist concedes that even in TMC’s internal surveys, BJP is winning. The vote is for Modi, polarisation is a reality, the SCs (27% of WB’s population), Matuas are all voting for the BJP! BJP has cadre on ground. Another candid admission by Mamata Banerjee’s election strategist – all that the Left, Congress and TMC ecosystem have done in the last 20 years is Muslim appeasement. Implication? It has resulted to resentment on ground. The speakers had not realised that the chat was public! Modi is hugely popular in Bengal and there is no doubt about it. There is a cult around him across the country. There is anti-incumbency against TMC, polarisation is a reality, SC votes is a factor plus BJP’s election machinery, says Mamata Banerjee’s strategist in an open chat. Is it open? That moment when Mamata Banerjee’s strategiest realised that the Club House room was open and his admissions were being heard by the public at large and not just a handful of Lutyens journalist. Deafening silence followed…TMC’s election was just thrown away!

I am not scared of losing – Prashant Kishor

I got into politics and I failed in my first attempt. I have learnt my lesson and I want to assure you that I will go back, probably go back better prepared. This is just a pause. I will definitely go back as a politician, won’t remain as a political aide my entire life. I am not scared of losing.

I am glad BJP is taking my chat more seriously than words of their own leaders – Prashant Kishor

I am glad BJP is taking my chat more seriously than words of their own leaders! They should show courage & share the full chat instead of getting excited with selective use of parts of it. I have said this before & repeating again – BJP will not to CROSS 100 in WB. Period.

Muslims of the world cannot tolerate insult to Prophet Muhammad – Amanatullah Khan

If Muslims are silent today, then, it is only because they are tackling the issue shrewdly. If Muslims hit the streets, they will teach a lesson (eenth se eenth baja denge). Muslims of the world cannot tolerate insult to Prophet Muhammad. If you believe otherwise, then, it is your misunderstanding. Muslims are dealing with the issue shrewdly as they don’t want the harmony of the country to be destroyed.

Momentum is with BJP this going to be a landslide – Sameet Thakkar

Odds prior to first phase of Bengal which were showing BJP wining 141-144 seats after intial two phase is projecting 156-159 BJP seats as of now. Also shows that all the sympathy drama of fractured leg in well looked into. Momentum is with BJP this going to be a landslide !!

I trust him (Amit Shah) & his judgement – Sameet Thakkar

Yes Amit Shah ji has given the campaign trail interview. Why? That only he knows & do note he knows the best of party & karyakarta then any other BJP leader. I trust him & his judgement. Baki going by tweets of journalist lot’s of sorry mails might be the reason looks like.

Hindus & religious minorities in Bangladesh continue to be targeted & persecuted – Tulsi Gabbard

Hindus & religious minorities in Bangladesh continue to be targeted & persecuted, as they have been since 1971 when the Pakistani army systematically murdered, raped & drove from their homes millions of Bengali Hindus because of their religion & ethnicity.

COVID-19 cases in Delhi have been rising – Arvind Kejriwal

In the last few days, COVID-19 cases in Delhi have been rising. 3,583 new cases have been reported in Delhi in the last 24 hours. This rise in cases now is the fourth wave. We are taking all possible measures, there is no need to worry. If there will be any need for the lockdown, then first it will be discussed with the people and then only a decision will be taken. We are focusing on the COVID19 vaccination, 71,000 vaccinations were done in Delhi on April 1.

Politics of CPM which is repression, scam, and violence – Priyanka Gandhi

The people of Kerala are real gold of the state. But CM is busy smuggling gold and giving out fishing contracts to foreign companies. They’re pursuing a corporate manifesto. Their agenda is to sell state assets to corporates. You have a choice between 3 types of politics. Politics of CPM which is repression, scam, and violence. BJP politics which spreads hate and divisiveness; and Congress’ politics of futuristic vision for Kerala. For 5 years, CPM was about fraud, fear and favouritism.

A national party brings in its own dynamics – Prashant Kishor

Of course, a national party brings in its own dynamics. They want to utilise caste much more than what Bengal has witnessed before. This is not to say that caste never existed, it’s just that you have a political dispensation which probably wants to exploit it a bit more. So in that way, it is different. Also, the hype around an election is much lower when two regional parties are fighting. Once you have a ruling national party taking on a ruling regional party, then you have much more interest. So people like you (the media) are much more interested in Bengal than, say, Tamil Nadu.

Soniaji is capable – Nana Patole

Soniaji is capable. She has been running UPA for years. This is not a matter of discussion. Narendra Modi government is not working for the people of the country they are working only for ‘hum do hamare do. Sanjay Raut is a Shiv Sena MP. Shiv Sena is not a United Progressive Alliance (UPA) member. He has not become an NCP MP. We have told Chief Minister that such statements are wrong and he should tell him. The Chief Minister said that he will discuss it.

Has the law and order totally collapsed in Punjab – Sonam Mahajan on attack on Punjab Abohar BJP MLA Arun Narang

Has the law and order totally collapsed in Punjab? BJP MLA, Arun Narang beaten to a pulp, stripped naked in police’s presence by a violent mob in Malout, Muktsar. If this is what can happen to an elected MLA, I shudder to think about the state of an average BJP voter in Punjab.

Murderous attack on BJP MLA Arun Narang has exposed the complete collapse of law & order in Punjab – Tarun Chugh

The murderous attack on BJP MLA Arun Narang has exposed the complete collapse of law & order in Punjab. CM Amarinder Singh squarely responsible for it & it looked like the Cong strategy to engineer attack on the BJP leaders on the pretext of farmers. Capt Amarinder is instigating such attacks in order to stifle the voice of the BJP in State. Attacks on BJP in Punjab have been going on ever since the agitation started. Viable options at multiple levels to deal with the problem need to be considered. Political activity has been conducted under worse circumstances. This is Murder of Democracy.

I ran a very successful campaign – Rashmi Samant

I ran a very successful campaign. People connected with it and there was a lot of positive reinforcement. Only one hour after I won, I started getting aggressive messages from people. ‘You made a post in 2017 at the Holocaust memorial making a pun.’ ‘You said ching chang in 2018. You have to apologise.’ Then a statement I made in my campaign was about “celebrating women, trans women, men who support us.” I didn’t realise that separating trans women from women goes against etiquette.

It is heartwarming to see the issue being raised – Rashmi Samant

It is heartwarming to see the issue being raised on multiple important forums for debate. Heartfelt gratitude for the support. It is however very sad that the history faculty continues to sport the defamatory post & it clocked 1 month as of yesterday.

I believe foreign universities need regulations – Rashmi Samant

Since we are not from the same culture and do not prescribe to the social developments of their society, it is possible that non-natives may be unaware of these ideologies. There is nothing that is being done to protect students. I believe foreign universities need regulations to protect students of colour from being cancelled. There is a mob out there, who very strongly believes that it is their responsibility to call out people. They do it viciously, with a certain conviction and aggression, but they don’t realise the damage that they create. It is based on an ideology. When they hold a position of power people start believing them.

Even the Hindu religious beliefs of her (Rashmi Samant) parents were publicly attacked by a professor – Ashwini Vaishnaw

The recent case of Rashmi Samant is a classic case in point. She is a bright student from Karnataka’s Udupi area. She persevered and overcame challenges to become the first Indian woman president of the Oxford Student Union. What was the treatment meted out to her? Shouldn’t this diversity have been celebrated? She was cyber bullied to the point that she had to resign. Even the Hindu religious beliefs of her parents were publicly attacked by a professor. What is the message that is sent to the world?

As land of Mahatma Gandhi, we can never ever turn our eyes away from racism – External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on treatment to Rashmi Samant

As the land of Mahatma Gandhi, we can never ever turn our eyes away from racism. Particularly so when it is in a country where we have such a large diaspora. We have strong ties with the UK. We’ll take up such matters with great candour when required. We will monitor these developments very closely. We will raise it when required and we will always champion the fight against racism and other forms of intolerance.

Rashmi Samant was cyberbullied to the point that she had to resign – BJP MP Ashwini Vaishnaw

There appears to be a continuation of attitudes and prejudices from the colonial areas, especially in the UK. The recent case of Rashmi Samant, a student from Karnataka is a classic case in point. She overcame all the challenges to become the first Indian woman president of Oxford University student’s Union. What treatment was meted out to her? Shouldn’t this diversity be celebrated, instead she was cyberbullied to the point that she had to resign. They [migrants] are not isolated. The treatment of migrants and their segregation in the UK on racial basis is well known all over the world. There is a recent report by Public Health, England, which says that the death rate among people of Asian origin because of Covid-19 is higher than the other communities in the UK. Doesn’t this raise a major question about equitable access to health and basic human rights? Behaviour of a society is a reflection of its beliefs and value systems. If such practices of racism and racial discrimination ate followed at the highest level in a society, what would the following be at the lower levels, sir?

I appreciate & am grateful for judgement passed by honourable Supreme Court – Ratan Tata

I appreciate and am grateful for the judgement passed by the honourable Supreme Court today. It is not an issue of winning or losing. After relentless attacks on my integrity and the ethical conduct of the group, the judgement upholding all the appeals of Tata Sons is a validation of the values and ethics that have always been the guiding principles of the group. It reinforces the fairness and justice displayed by our judiciarty.

People put blame on others, but Rahul Gandhi accepted responsibility & resigned – Bhupesh Baghel

We fought a general election under his (Gandhi’s) presidentship only once, and we were defeated in a big way. After a defeat, people put the blame on others, but Rahul Gandhi accepted responsibility and resigned. But what happened? The Congress Working Committee and all states asked him (Gandhi) to be president.

My acceptability is not beyond Chhattisgarh – Bhupesh Baghel

My acceptability is not beyond Chhattisgarh, there are other senior leaders whose acceptability may be more, but Rahul Gandhi’s acceptability is through the rank and file of the Congress and throughout the country.

My plan is to run for reelection – US President Joe Biden

My plan is to run for reelection. That’s my expectation. I said That is my expectation. I’m a great respecter of fate. I’ve never been able to plan four-and-a-half, three-and-a-half years ahead for certain.

People need a change in Bengal – Mithun Chakraborty

Speaking to media, Mithun Chakraborty said that this time it will be BJP’s government in the state. Responding to whether the huge crowd in his roadshow, rallies will convert into votes for the BJP, Mithun Chakraborty said, “Yes, I am speaking for the BJP only there will be a change…. people need a change in Bengal… we just have to see with how many seats we will form the government.” Bollywood superstar Mithun Chakraborty led two mega roadshows in the Jungle Mahal region of West Bengal in support of the BJP candidates.

Something is wrong with his brain – Mamata Banerjee on PM Modi

Industrial growth has stopped. Only his (PM Narendra Modi’s) beard is growing. Sometimes he calls himself Swami Vivekananda and sometimes renames stadiums after his own name. Something is wrong with his brain. It seems his screw is loose.

All the odds were stacked against me – Rashmi Samant

I think it’s rather ironic because this time last year I was giving my interview for the Oxford application. It was unusual running for President because it’s usually undergraduates who run. I was a postgraduate. I barely knew anybody. All the odds were stacked against me. But something within me told me I should try. It took a lot of hard work. I felt, at the time, like Sisyphus, rolling a boulder up the hill every single day.

My Party chose to set aside differences with Didi to stop BJP – Hemant Soren, Jharkhand CM

Purulia, Bankura and Midnapore are not new to us. We have been coming here for ages, standing in support with the Adivasis and contesting elections for many years. But this election is different. This is an election to save the values, culture, existence, religious harmony and the interests of the Adivasis. The ideals of JMM and TMC are somewhat similar and my party chose to set aside differences with Didi to stop BJP. After winning a few seats in the Lok Sabha election, they (BJP) think it can win the assembly election here. They had made the same mistake in Jharkhand after winning 12 of the 14 LS seats, but we ousted them and now, Didi’s TMC will do the same here.

We will continue our struggle to restore power back to people – Arvind Kejriwal

RS passes GNCTD amendment Bill. Sad day for Indian democracy. We will continue our struggle to restore power back to people. Whatever be the obstacles, we will continue doing good work. Work will neither stop nor slow down.

CM Nitish Kumar must know that he lives in Mahatma Gandhi’s India, not Godse’s – Niranjan Patnaik, Congress

Whatever happened against elected members in the Bihar assembly is highly deplorable! Protests and debates are core the of democracy, whereas violence is its antithesis. CM Nitish Kumar must know that he lives in Mahatma Gandhi’s India, not Godse’s!

I’m fully confident that we will win more than 200 seats – Amit Shah on West Bengal Elections

Who says we don’t have an adequate organisational base? We have formed committees in 85% of booths in the state. In Lok Sabha polls, BJP won 18 seats and lost three by a margin of less than 5,000 votes. Twenty-one seats means 50% of the electorate. This when very few were ready to believe that BJP could win those many seats. There is no such scepticism now about our ability. After 18 Lok Sabha seats, confidence in BJP has increased manifold. I’m fully confident that we will win more than 200 seats.

These friendlies are nothing but part of the larger strategy – Lurinjyoti Gogoi

In order to prevent the AGP and the Congress simultaneously, we have strategically put up candidates for friendlies against Raijar Dal in some constituencies. Unlike what people are saying this kind of friendlies is nothing new in politics. We have so many instances where parties put up dummy candidates. In fact, in the last Assembly election in 2016 in order to defeat Dhurubajyoti Gogoi in the Duliajan Assembly constituency, 10 dummy candidates from the Ahom community were made to fight the polls. These friendlies are nothing but part of the larger strategy.

My disillusionment with the present BJP is well-known – Yashwant Sinha

My disillusionment with the present BJP is well-known because I have never tried to conceal it. People often ask me why I am disillusioned with the present leadership of BJP. The reply is simple and straightforward. It is because the present BJP is poles apart from the BJP I joined decades ago. I joined the BJP led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani and I served it loyally until 2014 when the leadership of the party was taken over by the Modi-Shah combine. Though I was not against their leading the party and government, I had a premonition.

Indira Gandhi was a much taller leader than the pygmies leading the BJP today – Yashwant Sinha

Modi and specially Shah are extremely unpopular in Bengal; don’t go by the crowds that assembles in their meetings. We know how crowds are collected these days – the more electoral bonds you collect, the more crowds you can assemble. Indira Gandhi addressed some massive meetings in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections of 1977. We know the results. She was a much taller leader than the pygmies leading the BJP today. The main issue in Bengal in the forthcoming election is “Our own daughter versus the outsiders.”

Thank you Goa for the continuous support to BJP – Narendra Modi

Thank you Goa for the continuous support to BJP. The results of the Municipal Elections 2021 show the people’s appreciation towards our Party’s development agenda. I laud all hardworking BJP Karyakartas who went among people and worked hard during the campaign.

BJP continues to depend on the central leadership – Dr. Sandeep Shastri on West Bengal Elections

The challenge for the BJP is that it does not have a local face. If you were to ask me about Suvendu Adhikari, I would say that he is a local face who has come from the TMC. The BJP would need a face who has been there in the party for sometime. The BJP continues to depend on the central leadership, but the question is how much of it can it really push to destabilise the TMC. There is no doubt that the Prime Minister has been able to move the audience. But in the case of Mamata, she is among the audience. The central leadership in an election is important, but to sway the voter you need a credible local face. This becomes even more important when your rival has a strong local face.

Narendra Modi will soon be projected as someone bigger than Ambedkar… even bigger than Tagore – Mamata Banerjee

They (saffron camp leaders) dictate whether someone should wear a sari or any other attire. They decide if a pregnant woman should eat eggs. If the BJP is elected to power, it will roll out the NPR and NRC exercises and remove names of bona-fide citizens from these registers. The party wants to change the history and geography of India… they change names of educational institutions at will. A cricket stadium in Gujarat has been named after PM Modi. One day they will change the name of our nation. Narendra Modi will soon be projected as someone bigger than Ambedkar… even bigger than Tagore.

Those same CPI(M) harmads (goons) have joined the BJP – Mamata Banerjee

We are yet to know the details of the money spent under PM Cares Fund. What all has been going on under the garb of disinvestment is no secret. I, on the other hand, don’t take single paise as salary. I have forfeited my allowance as a former MP, and as an MLA. Modibabu, you should explain why you are so eager to sell off stakes and close down Coal India, BSNL, MTNL and SAIL. Why you are so keen on closing down nationalised banks. CPI(M) goons had unleashed terror in Kotulpur, Chomkaitala belts (in the 90s and early 2000), when I was an opposition leader. They had even attacked me when I visited the affected areas to be on side of victims families. Those same CPI(M) harmads (goons) have joined the BJP.

There is anti-incumbency though I would like to stress that it is mostly around local Trinamool leaders and units – Prashant Kishor

I had a good idea of what I was getting into. The 2019 elections were just over and the BJP had done exceptionally well. The challenge was always to meet the tremendous might of the BJP and Sangh and their huge resources and machinery. Also, more and more, the fact that key wings of government and institutions were working in tandem with the powers. The task was, and remains, monumental because of the behemoth we are faced with. Add to that the reality that there is a degree of discontent against the Trinamul at the grassroots level; that happens when a party has been in power for 10 years. There is anti-incumbency though I would like to stress that it is mostly around local Trinamul leaders and units.

People keep joining and leaving but the core is Didi – Prashant Kishor

Yes, contrary to what some people like to believe, the discontent is mostly local, which is not to say it can be brushed aside. The Trinamul is a unique party and its nature has to be understood. It is not a party with a deep history or a committed cadre base. It is built on the sheer energy of a lady called Mamata Banerjee and it revolves around her. People keep joining and leaving but the core is Didi, nobody else. One of the challenges has been, with all these individuals coming in and departing, to retain internal coherence when so many others are coming and going, and it all comes down to Mamata to maintain coherence and reduce contradictions.

The only way the BJP could have won was if Trinamul had collapsed – Prashant Kishor

The BJP can afford to lose this election and still remain a strong all-India party, the others cannot. This election will mean the difference between India retaining the vibrancy of a multi-party democracy and becoming a one-nation, one-party state. That is how important this election is. For Trinamul to lose Bengal to the BJP will mean a shadow cast much wider. It will have a huge psychological impact beyond Bengal. It will put a question on the viability of putting up a challenge to the BJP. Many others will come under pressure or get demoralised…. That’s the battle we are fighting. The only way the BJP could have won was if Trinamul had collapsed. That has not happened. The BJP was hoping Trinamul would come apart, but they did not contend with Didi and what she means. This BJP is a formidable force in Bengal today but there is no way they are going to win, absolutely not. For the BJP to win, they need at least 44 per cent of the vote, which means they will have to substantially up their Lok Sabha numbers. Barring a few small-state exceptions like Haryana and Tripura, the BJP’s Assembly vote share has always been lower than what they secure in Lok Sabha elections. The BJP has an uphill task; I can tell you they are not winning this one. The BJP is here to stay for a long time, make no mistake. Two reasons. Didi remains by far the most popular leader in Bengal. Nobody has such energy, grit, intelligence and presence. Secondly, look at how swiftly and wholesomely we have responded and rearranged ourselves. We saw and recognised the threat from the BJP; we put in place an elaborate strategy which was a mix of the administrative and the political. I am not saying all of these people will vote Trinamul, but do not discount the dividends such a comprehensive outreach can shore up. At the political level, two-thirds of the district presidents have been changed. Now this too has led to all that ‘exodus’ talk that the BJP wants to hype, but the truth is we have a younger, more proactive leadership across the state.

Insecure ‘chai buiscuit patrakars’ who lied, & conspired against me – Truth has exposed U – Pradeep Bhandari

The Honorable Court has dimissed the petition of Mumbai Police to cancel my anticipatory bail. In another case the Court has set aside the Chapter Case that State of MH had filed against me. I thank the Honorable Court for upholding justice. I thank people of India for supporting me in this legal fight. I also thank Arnab, Senior advocate Abod Ponda, Niranjan Mundargi, advocate Shyam who helped me in the fight. Insecure ‘chai buiscuit patrakars’ who lied, & conspired against me – Truth has exposed U!

Prime Minister has gave us relief – Tirath Singh Rawat

Who knows what would have happened to India had anyone else been the Prime Minister instead of Narendra Modi during this time. We would have been in a bad state. But the Prime Minister has gave us relief. As compared to other countries, India is managing Covid 19 crisis better. America, who ruled us for 200 years and ruled the world, is struggling during pandemic. Over 3,75 lakh people died in USA. In Italy, having best health facility in world, lost over 50 lakh people lives and heading for another lock down.

Election campaign is nothing but fight for the people – Pinarayi Vijayan

The left front is getting massive support from the people since the inception of the poll campaign. The survey results are based on mere individual opinions but it has also revealed certain facts also. Those who oppose us, have also agreed to those facts. Do not show lapses after being lured by the conducive survey results. The election campaign is nothing but fight for the people. Some prominent Congress leaders are trying to reach the assembly with the help of the BJP. They are also trading votes. More details about it will come out in the subsequent days. Sabarimala is not an issue before the government. The revised affidavit of the government will be given once the case is taken up by the court. Those who have lost their sleep after witnessing the mounting support for the government are now engaged in unleashing a series of campaigns based on lies and deceits. The allegation of the opposition leader that the government is manufacturing news after giving money, might be base on his imagination and own personal experience.

Yediyurappa should not become the last BJP CM of south India – BJP MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal

Chief Minister of Karnataka should be changed at any cost. If BJP has to survive in the state, it is necessary to do this. Change of Chief Minister in the state is 100 per cent sure. It is difficult to fight the next elections with this CM (Yediyurappa). BJP national secretary Arun Singh is aware of these things. But, he is simply saying that the CM will not change. I have spoken against corruption and dynasty politics. One of the MLA said that I only glorify Vajpayee and Narendra Modi. Both these leaders do not have a single case of corruption against them. They have not done dynasty politics. They are role models for me. How can I glorify those who do dynasty politics and are involved in corruption in politics? I am the representative of the people. I am fighting for the future of BJP in Karnataka. Yediyurappa should not become the last BJP CM of south India. There should be BJP CMs in Karnataka for the next 10 to 20 years. I am fighting in that direction. Someone with the ideals of PM Narendra Modi should become the chief minister of Karnataka. After elections, 3 CMs to be changed by BJP high command. The need to change 3 CMs discussion has been going on for a long time. After the elections, there will be a change in Karnataka also. Now, there has been a change in leadership in Uttrakhand. Haryana and Karnataka are next.

I am a true desh bhakt not haramkhor – Kangana Ranaut

When I called out corruption and ill administration of Maharashtra government I faced so much abuses, threats, criticism I retaliated but when my loyality for my beloved city was questioned I cried silently. When they illegally demolished my house many cheered and celebrated. In coming days they will be fully exposed, today I stand vindicated, hence it is proven in my brave Rajputana blood flows the loyality and true love for the land that feeds me and my family. I am a true desh bhakt not haramkhor.

…in the Assam government, there is a Shakuni Mama-like leader and a Dhritarashtra – Priyanka Gandhi

…in the Assam government, there is a Shakuni Mama-like leader and a Dhritarashtra. Both of them and the BJP have betrayed the people of Assam. The ‘Dhritarashtra’ who was at one time called ‘Jatiya Nayak’ (people’s leader) betrayed the six ethnic communities whom he had promised inclusion in the Scheduled Tribes list. But did not do so. Shakuni Mama who runs a corrupt government that only cheats people.

BJP is not a political party in Assam – Priyanka Gandhi

BJP is not a political party in Assam … (it) is functioning like a mafia organisation running syndicates of ‘supari,’ fish, coal, land. In the prime minister’s election rallies you must have noticed he sometimes takes the name of one in some meetings or the name of the other at other times. Their remote controls are in Delhi. BJP has not been able to decide who will be the chief minister. They are not able to respect their own chief minister and spell out the name. If there is no stability and unity in the party, then how will it give a stable government to people? Which chief ministers did he refer to… was it late Tarun Gogoi who worked tirelessly for the development of the state, gave employment to youth, introduced 30 per cent reservation for women in jobs and 50 per cent seats in panchayats, improved road connectivity, economic progress, protected Assam’s culture and heritage? As soon as the BJP returned to power at the Centre they made the Citizenship (Amendment) Act into a law. Police were unleashed on the anti-CAA protestors and five youths lost their lives.

They had hit my head, my back, my hands and almost every part of my body in the past – Mamata Banerjee

They had hit my head, my back, my hands and almost every part of my body in the past, you all (people) know that. This time, they (rivals) decided to target my leg to stop me from stepping out of home. But they don’t know Mamata Banerjee well. Also, please don’t accept any food and cigarettes from a stranger during the voting exercise. Don’t go anywhere leaving the EVMs unguarded, no matter who asks you to. I won’t ask you to reject the offer because anything that they are giving you has been bought with misappropriated public money. But do not vote for them.

Anil Deshmukh did not meet anyone till February 27 – Nawab Malik

Devendra Fadnavis and Mungantiwar’s claim that Anil Deshmukh had called a press conference is a total lie. When Anil Deshmukh was discharged from the hospital on February 15, there were a few reporters outside the hospital. They wanted to speak to Deshmukh but he started to feel weak. So, Deshmukh took a chair and sat down while reporters asked him a few questions. There was no press conference that was called. And immediately after being discharged from the hospital Anil Deshmukh took a chartered plane and reached Mumbai and got quarantined in his house. He was in quarantine till February 27. He did not meet anyone till February 27.

We understand everyone has a right to approach the Supreme Court and seek justice – Nawab Malik on Param Bir Singh

Since he (Param Bir Singh) has been transferred, he has been saying different things and why he’s doing this we know that. He went to Delhi. Who did he meet there, what he was told, we know everything about it. And we will tell you all this at the right time. Everything has a time and at the right time, everything will be told. Transferring an officer is an administrative decision of the chief minister and the home minister. We understand everyone has a right to approach the Supreme Court and seek justice. We will see what justice he gets there.

If Modi wasn’t the PM, Jammu & Kashmir would have gone away from India – E Sreedharan

Not at all, these theories are only peddled by those who don’t like the Modi government. The majority of people have accepted Modi. See how the country has progressed today. People opposing Modi are finding small errors. That is not fair. If Modi wasn’t the PM, Jammu & Kashmir would have gone away from India. Don’t take a small thing and make it into a mountain.

I have very great hopes that BJP will be able to form the government this time – E Sreedharan

That is true. That is how any organization starts. Isn’t it? You have seen in Tripura. There was no MLA at all. How did they capture power? In Delhi, see AAP. They did not have any base there? They captured power in second election itself. It is possible. Now is the best time for BJP really. Because people are fed up with the two fronts. LDF and UDF. I have very great hopes that BJP will be able to form the government this time.

Everybody has to be together to take the country forward – E Sreedharan

I will not like to enter that particular subject, because it is a controversial subject. I am only looking at doing things in a straightforward and transparent manner. Keeping everyone on our side. You cannot antagonise one section of people. You cannot isolate them from the mainstream. Everybody has to be together to take the country forward.

Now Didi says that she doesn’t like my face – Narendra Modi

Didi’s people are making graffiti on the streets of Bengal wherein she is hitting my head with her foot & playing football. Didi, why are you insulting Bengal’s culture and traditions? The more I question Didi, the angrier she gets. Now she says that she doesn’t like my face. Didi, in democracy, it is the public service & not the face which is put to test.

Mamata Didi wants to make her nephew the next CM – Amit Shah

The govt employees of West Bengal have not received the 7th Pay Commission. We will implement it as soon as we form the govt. We will also increase salaries of the teachers. Mamata Didi wants to make her nephew the next CM. On the contrary, PM Modi wants to make Sonar Bangla. If you want Sonar Bangla, make sure you form a BJP govt in the state. TMC goons should not feel that they are safe. After forming the govt on May 2, we will find the murderers of 130 BJP karyakartas and put them in jail!

The strength given to the NDA will energize the self-reliance of Assam – PM Modi at Bokakhat Rally

In the last 5 years, we have given a new pace to the development of Assam. This time, every vote that the NDA candidates give to us and our allies would be a vote for the rapid development of Assam. The strength given to the NDA will energize the self-reliance of Assam. Every vote the NDA gets, will further increase employment opportunities here. Who can forget the day when the Congress was in the center and also in Assam! At that time, neglect was also double because the people of Assam had no hearing in the state, nor at the Cenre. Now that the NDA government is at the Centre and the NDA government is also in the state, the power of double engine is pushing Assam forward. Now, highways are being constructed with double efforts, because the state government is also connecting Assam with the country and the central government too.

NDA government will be again formed in Assam – PM Modi at Bokakhat Rally

Another question during the Congress rule was that how will Assam and India’s pride–the Rhinos be saved from the hunter-gatherers brought up by the Congress? Now, BJP’s, NDA government has sent poachers of Rhino behind the bars. Now it has been decided. BJP government will come for the second time in Assam. NDA government will be again formed in Assam. Assam will get double engine ki sarkar.
