PV Narasimha Rao’s Daughter Surabhi Vani Devi won Election from Mahbubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Graduates’ MLC Constituency
TRS candidate Surabhi Vani Devi, daughter of former Prime Minister late PV Narasimha Rao, won the election from Mahbubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Graduates’ MLC constituency by a margin of 36,580 votes over her nearest BJP rival N Ramchander Rao on Saturday. The counting of votes that continued for the fourth consecutive day was completed late Saturday evening. The election officials, however, are yet to declare the result officially.
Responding to BJP MLC Ramchander Rao comments over the appointment of Vice-Chancellors, KTR stated that unlike BJP, the TRS government had set aside political interests and appointed scholars and senior IAS officers as in-charge Vice-Chancellors. “The University of Hyderabad VC appointment and the politics involved in it led to a lot of disturbances on the campus,” pointed out Rama Rao. “Three States were formed before Telangana, but they are yet to see development in their regions,” Rama Rao said, adding that the Telangana government was working for the welfare of all sections, including journalists and lawyers.
TRS Working President KTR, on Friday countered the allegations made by BJP against the TRS government being anti-employee. He asked the BJP leaders to check facts and figures before levelling any charges, particularly on Pay Revision Commission fitment. Pointing out that in 2016, the Central government had given just 14 per cent fitment to its employees, he said that was before the introduction of GST and demonetisation and when the economic situation in the country was much stable. On the contrary, the TRS government gave a 43 per cent fitment to State government employees, he said.

He told cadre that a victory in the Graduate MLC elections was critical for the survival of the party. He asked them to enlighten the public about the “divisive” politics of the BJP.
The TRS has decided to field late PV Narasimha Rao’s daughter S Vani Devi as its candidate for the Graduate MLC election from Hyd-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar seat. She will file her papers on Monday. Since the last day for nominations is February 23, the decision comes as a surprise for the party workers and even Ministers and MLAs. The indications from the party so far was that it would stay away from the elections in this constituency and extend support to Independent candidate K. Nageshwar, which was opposed within the party quite strongly.
As the Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR should have participated in the meeting – N Uttam Kumar Reddy
As the Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR should have participated in the meeting to raise issues concerning the State. By skipping the meeting, KCR has sent a clear message that either he is not interested in the development of Telangana or he has completely surrendered before the Modi Govt and giving it a free hand to do whatever it wants. It is highly unfortunate that Telangana got a CM who only rests at his palatial bungalow ‘Pragathi Bhavan’ or the farm house. But he never finds time to meet people to listen to their grievances and resolve them. While other CMs presented a wishlist for their respective States, CM KCR decided to take rest by assigning the job to Chief Secretary Somesh Kuma.
Some divisive forces are trying to enter Hyderabad and create havoc in the city. Are we going to allow it? Are we going to lose our peace?… My dear brothers and sisters of Hyderabad…as Chief Minister of Telangana, I am appealing earnestly, please come forward. Please support TRS, which is a progressive thinking party. Please save Hyderabad from these divisive forces.
Taking a jab at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s campaign in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation polls for BJP, KCR said the northern state, which is in 28th position in terms of per capita income, was trying to teach lessons to Telangana, which is in fifth position. “As a fellow Chief Minister I welcome him (Yogi Adityanath). The person who is in 28th rank is trying to teach lessons to the one in fifth rank,” KCR said. Polls for the GHMC will be held on December 1 and counting of votes will be taken up on December 4.
A day after BJP’s Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) chief Tejasvi Surya was booked by Hyderabad Police, the party has condemned the incident and slammed the TRS government for registering “false cases”. Tejasvi Surya took to Twitter and said that Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao won’t be able to stop the saffron party. A case was registered against BJP’s Tejasvi Surya by the state police under section 447 of the IPC (criminal trespass) after a complaint by the Osmania University administration.
People are eagerly waiting for the vaccine. A scientifically approved vaccine is the need of the hour. The Telangana state government is ready to distribute and administering the vaccine to people on a priority basis. Accordingly, we have drawn an action plan. However, one has to take into consideration whether the vaccine has any side effects.
There are different weather and climatic conditions in the country. Coronavirus also did not affect the country in a uniform manner. Vaccine too may give different side effects in different regions. Hence, initially send a batch of vaccine doses to the States, which can be administered on some people. Let us assess the situation after administering vaccine on these people and then administer it to the rest.
PM Modi has visited several places ravaged by floods across the country. He visited West Bengal, Kerala and other places hit by natural calamity. Unfortunately, KCR in Telangana never comes out of his farmhouse. Today, the fight in Telangana is between Narendra Modi’s good governance model and KCR’s farmhouse governance.
BJP’s Tejasvi Surya was critical of the Telangana CM KCR, saying that the leader was apathetic to the sufferings of his state residents and indulged in “farmhouse governance”. Surya also added that KCR wants to turn Hyderabad into Istanbul, the capital of Turkey, an Islamic nation whose President keeps speaking against India. It is for this reason the TRS is in alliance with the AIMIM as they want Hyderabad to be Pakistan, Surya claimed.

Showering sops ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls, Telangana chief minister and TRS president K Chandrashekhar on Monday announced that his government would provide free water supply up to 20,000 litres from December if it is voted to power.
If they indeed are using that term then the biggest gaddars (traitors) in Madhya Pradesh are Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh who have been ‘gaddars’ towards seven and a half crore people because none of the poll promises were fulfilled, they were busy in rent-seeking activities and holding on to power and chair rather than serving the people of the state.
